International Medicine Zürich

We are a multi-disciplinary group of English-speaking doctors,  physiotherapists, podiatrists, dieticians, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. As of 2024, we are a group of 37 people.

We have all moved to Zurich or near Zurich for one reason or another.  Regardless of what brought us to Switzerland, we have all gone through the challenges of registering here and most of us have completed our Anerkennung (German word for recognition). Despite the challenges of the process, we would all say it was worthwhile!

Medicine here regardless of your specialty is very rewarding. If you’re thinking about moving to Zürich or the surrounding area and need some like-minded colleagues we are here for you. We offer a community of free advice and most importantly clinical support.

We meet up three times a year for continued professional development and once or twice a year for a social evening. Many of us work on our own and therefore it is essential to have a network of colleagues who understand your clinical reasoning, can help as a clinical sounding board and can discuss things in English.
